Items to donate: The following is a list of food most needed to restock the pantry

Protein items: Chili, Peanut Butter, Stew

Baby items: Enfamil, Similac with iron, large-size diapers, wipes

Sack lunch items: individual-size chips, sliced cheese, shelf-stable milk, juices, pudding, fruit cups, peanut butter and jelly, oatmeal packets, granola bars, fruit snacks, individual cold cereals, sack lunch bags, all size Ziploc bags

Other program needed items: pastas, rice, dry beans, protein items, sauces, and No. 10-size cans of fruits and vegetables

Regular food box items: tomato products, cereals, canned meats, macaroni & cheese, one can meals (chili & stew), soups, side dishes, and both canned and fresh meats and fruits (do NOT leave fresh meat in bins)


 CenturyLink Annual Food Drive June 6th – 17th

CenturyLink is hosting an annual food drive to help fight hunger. In an effort to support the rising issue of childhood hunger, CenturyLink is holding a company-wide employee and community based food drive focused on supporting local food banks and backpack programs in our markets.

The CenturyLink Clarke M. Williams Foundation will match donations made online up to a total of $1,000,000. You can access the donation site at Be sure to select our local food bank when submitting your donation.

Turkey Tuesday Cat vs Griz


November 11th 6am-6pm
KTVQ – 3203 3rd Avenue North 

Flood the Q2 parking lot with turkeys and non-perishable food items for the Food Bank!
It’s a Cat vs. Griz competition this year!! Q2 will supply a blue awning and a maroon awning with a corresponding turkey collection bin or “tub” for each university.

Bring a frozen turkey to KTVQ ….put your “Turkey in the Tub”… enter the drawing. Only ONE entry allowed per person. (Someone might bring in 23 turkeys, but they still only get one entry in the drawing box.)

Q2 will feature Live updates throughout the day on how many turkeys are in each tub and we will hold drawings at various times for some great Cat-Griz “stuff”.

Grand prize is a pair of tickets to the Cat-Griz game in Missoula on November 22nd. The winner of the Cat-Griz tickets will be announced at the end of the 5:30 News that night.

Sorry everyone…..KTVQ employees and their families are not eligible to enter the drawing, but let’s have some fun anyway… wear your college fan gear & turkey hats and we will feed a flock of hungry families in our area!!











Harvest Feast 2014

An inaugural farm-to-table Harvest Feast which features produce from Billings Food Bank Garden located near Oscar’s Park.

Zucchini sticks with garlic aioli
Garden vegetable soup
Smoked beef brisket
Garlic smashed new potatoes and medley of seasonal roasted vegetables
House-baked herbed rolls and butter
Apple and pumpkin desserts.
The meal will also feature local beer, wine, cider & music.

Proceeds support the Culinary Skills Training Program. The onsite Culinary Skills Training Program at Fortin Culinary Center helps adults in need of permanent employment get the skills they need for better paying jobs. The program gives men and women a stepping stone to become self-sufficient. The Fortin Café is open from 8 am-3 pm.
